It's very different because I met it while I was in school. I met a having a boyfriend in the army girl who lived around me. I met her, and it was really awkward because it wasn't like we'd been friends before. It wasn't like we had this conversation and we'd said, "What are you doing today?" And how did it go after that? We started going out, and I think we just kind of connected, and kind of felt comfortable. We kind of became a couple, and then I found out that she was a nurse. And it was, like, "Well, this is something that I don't know anything about, and I've got to go learn more." She didn't know me, and I didn't know her. So, when I was there, I was just trying to find a couple of guys, because I didn't have any idea, because I was the platoon leader. And I found that in my first month, that we were able to meet, and that was something that I think helped me, and it was something I wanted to continue. It was something that helped me develop a relationship tattooed guys with each other that way, not necessarily having to be a couple, because of the combat that we had in Afghanistan.

Josie: The first thing that I did was I got a passport, so I could go to the US, and be myself. That's something that I've been trying to do, to not be an outsider. But, I do feel that when I come to a country, I've got to put some time into it. It's something that I think a lot of people miss out on when they come to a new country and they are completely on their own.
