The story of cupid man started in 2009 when a man was sent to an Army base in Georgia for a mental health evaluation. He was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia and a host of personality disorders, including severe depression, which resulted in him losing his job and having trouble with his family. In this episode, we discuss how a man who lived in a military camp for three months had so much trouble with depression that he went on a suicide mission to kill himself, what the military did to help him, and what it 's like being a soldier in a war zone. In the end, we talk about what it's like to be in the presence of the most famous, yet most misunderstood, person in the world, and how that makes the military unique. Listen as we discuss how the military is trying to figure out how to support mental health american single girls in its ranks, how cupid man came to be, and what it means to be a soldier in an anti-insurgency war.
