What is a Military Relationship?

I'm sure you have heard the term "military relationship" used to describe a relationship between two people from the military. I believe this to be one of the most misunderstood things that goes on in the world. It's not a relationship, it's a "relationship" but it can have a significant role in your life.

I had a friend who was in a "military relationship" with her first sergeant. She was in a platoon of six and she and her second sergeant were supposed to go on a deployment in April. We are so lucky. I was so glad that we could have the chance to go on the deployment. It was the first time for my daughter. I didn't want to get into a military relationship but this guy seemed too good to let happen. I wanted to take her on a trip to the coast to see the sunset and it was not easy but I figured it was something that she wanted. So I told her the truth and she was so sad. I was really afraid that it was not going to happen. It seemed that he might end up in the military so I was worried. I told her we would try for a couple more years.

Fast forward to last month. She was going to have a family and was expecting. I sent her an email saying she should not go, because she was a military spouse. We would try for another couple of years, she said. She told me that her son and her daughter-in-law were both veterans, and that they were not on a "no-kill" list. I was shocked. She was a marine? We tried to put her on a no-kill list, which would have sent her to a no-kill prison. She said she was going on a one-year tour of duty.

I knew I had to do something, so I took her prison pen pals georgia out to dinner and a movie. She seemed like a lovely woman, and she was in her 40s, she said. That was the last I saw of her. After that I spent an entire summer working on the case, visiting people chatroom irani who knew the victim, interviewing neighbors who had known her, and interviewing the military. I had no idea what was going on, but I was determined to find out what happened. The next week I saw a newspaper article about the missing Marine in the newspaper. I read the article, and I realized that it was about a young woman from Alabama who had also been missing for three months, and was only found after a frantic search by the public thailand cupid dating and her family. I thought, "well maybe she's not all that special." So I emailed her mother. This was a year before the first Gulf War. I asked her for some information. She replied that the Marine had not been found. I got in touch with her family, and after hearing their story, I learned that she had been married to a Marine. Her husband, who had served in Iraq, was the only reason she was out there. The Marine had a wife and two kids in that area, and they had lost touch with each other. He had been deployed to Kuwait, and the Marines in that area had lost him too. So , she was a widow with no family to speak of. She was still out there. I called her daughter. She said that her father-in-law having a boyfriend in the army was a Marine, and that the Marine was missing. She didn't want to go public, so she let me know where to find him. I got to him, found him, and brought him home, and now I have a new friend and his daughter. It's kind of awesome. I'm not sure when the story would get published, or where, but that's what I was doing. "I was there, and I'm not ashamed to say that it wasn't for nothing." -Marine Staff Sergeant James R. Williams Sr., on the day that he found a Marine who has a brother he loves. "I was going back in and saying hi to him and I said, 'Oh, my God. That guy is your brother, " the Marines' father said. The Marine responded with, "Oh, you tattooed guys were there!" and then told the father he was going to show him the barracks. Then the Marines said, "He gave us this shirt. Is it yours?" and he handed it to them. That's when Williams Sr. says he went, "Holy crap.
